EL "X"
“El X” thrashes the eardrums of fans that previously tried to slash their wrists with the legendary punk band “Los Timidos” in the 80’s. A punk rock ethos and some psychobilly chords inject adrenaline into music that has few chords but lots of attitude. His songs are short, but “El X” makes up for it with the intensity of his live show. The lyrics, fun but straight to the point, transport the listener to a universe of comics in which spiderwebs and testosterone blend in harmony.

PEPE CALAVERA
Mr. Calavera brings together a culture of Latin-Carribean inspired rhythms with an array of sonic overtones, carried by an engine of acoustic force. Using a foundation of traditional latin guitar fair, and building layers of electronic sampling and beats, the music fluctuates from stripped down acoustic to upbeat dance styles. Every song is drenched in a lyrical clash of confessional, political, and social expression. Calavera fuses the traditional with the contemporary in a unique independent style bringing to mind a Manu Chao or Beck. Humbled and raw, the music breathes that realistic simple honesty of a traveling soul.
