PEPE CALAVERA

There is always respect for the musician who defies all odds and follows their own path against the mainstream in a "DIY" style.
This is the case with Pepe Calavera, a pioneer of Panama's punk scene who reinvented himself as a rebel singer songwriter.

Calavera's new album "Organizate y Lucha", keeps to his simple acoustic sound and fresh lyrics that paint a picture of humility and brotherhood; Calavera's voice is soft, with some echoes of punk, but his words are powerful and the harmonies, catchy.

Hints of various rhythms like reggae in "Si Mañana Será Como Hoy", flamenco in "Estás Volviendote Loco", pop in "Dame Un Beso Mujer", and hip hop in "Creencia".
